TRUTH creates personal peace, power, and engagement. LIES give birth to doubt, depression, anxiety, and aloneness. Satan, the father of lies, brought the first deception of woman to the Garden with a distortion of truth.
Lies are often easier to believe than truth because they are repeated throughout the day through social media, digital prints and ads, and words spewed across the culture. “When we embrace the enemy’s lies, our circumstances become our identity.”
I love the Real Woman study because it brings me back to facts, to the truths of God’s word that powerfully overcomes all opinions, prejudice, and angry speech.
“A REAL Woman has her needs for love and significance
met in her relationship with Christ.” REAL Women: pg 18
So truth, so powerful, so simple – and so often ignored. We still keep looking for recognition, significance, acceptance by our “doing.”
What lies are you believing today? Whether your pain of the past was in childhood or just yesterday, your personal relationship with the Savior can…
• Start every-day anew with hope
• Bad habits can be broken; new habits can begin in strength
• I can believe that God wants to bless my life as a woman.
REMIND: Keep them (God’s words) in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them…. Proverbs 4:20
The Word of God – whether it is in paper pages, on a phone, or by audio, your heart is changed when you think on TRUTH. This gift is a resource for every moment of life. Read it; memorize it; carry it with you on note cards; look and listen through your phone (Her Bible app.
RENEW: How precious is the love of God! Spend some time today considering how much God does love you with an unconditional love.
“The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you
with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3.
PRAY: “Lord, thank you for unbendable, unchangeable Truth in Your Scriptures. This us treasure to my life. I believe in the unconditional love you have for me. Lord, you know the pain of my yesterdays, and I ask that these may not have control over my moods or thinking patterns. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that there may be no room for doubt or the power of the words of others to devour my thinking. Instead, I ask for an overflow of joy that will go forth from my heart to encourage and bless others. May I daily be a testimony of your unique creation of women as valued by God.”
