This weekend’s She Loves Out Loud Team Retreat totally inspired my life. Being around godly women who exude the work of the Holy Spirit and share the active Word of God in their life is both challenging and inspiring.
A few shares that blessed me –
Cynthia Mitchell – “In one of the most disappointing and painful events of my life, the Lord spoke to me –‘You can do good, or you can be available for great.’ Giving one foster child back to his mother brought about a mentoring/discipleship relationship that has gone on to bless several moms as they learn how to parent and how to handle the stresses of life. It is a ministry that I didn’t know I was called to until I opened my heart to it.” From good to Great.
Stefanie Schindler has been spending time in Isaiah 60 and shared this from verse 1 – ““Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come, And the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you.” She said, “If you find yourself in darkness about to give in, know that this is your moment for God to bring you through.” This is your moment. Today is your day.
Rachel Knight enthusiastically declared that “No matter how tired, stressed, or overwhelmed you may feel, the Lord will never leave you. He is there, walking beside you from beginning to end.” He will never forsake you.
As for me, the whole weekend was a reminder, one I enthusiastically share with you – Gather with godly friends, open your heart in both pain and praise, and every day. Expect Amazing.
“God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, His Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!” Ephesians 3:20-21 The Message
Always Expect Amazing,
