We know that no matter what our personal experience of defeat or failure may be, Jesus is never defeated. He remains on the throne at the right of the Father. When it seemed like His death was the end of all hope for His followers, He rose up and conquered the grave. We share in that victory the moment we say, “Here is my heart, Lord Jesus.” The resurrection of Jesus teaches us about eternity, yes; but we also learn from Him that the death of our dreams will be followed by a resurrection of hope. God’s great love for us and His personal plans for our lives empower us to dream and love again.
Fact: God is on my side!
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah 29:11–12). (NKJV)
- You are on the mind and heart of God. He is thinking good thoughts of you every moment.
- His plan is to bless your FUTURE – every day, all of the days of your life.
- To give you HOPE – confidence in a sure thing.
- He is listening as you pray.
As Toby Mac sings, “Help is on the Way – “I’m holding on to the promise y’all that He’s rolling up His sleeves again.”
No matter what presses into your emotions from past hurt, there is still time and opportunity for healing, wholeness, and restoration. The future, that which is about to be, is already on its way to you. God has planned it and by His promise, He will see it through.
Look at the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don’t you see it?
I will make a road in the desert and rivers in the dry land.
(Isaiah 43:18 NCV)
