Today the Lord is being glorified on the earth as churches open their doors to become first aid stations for the body and crisis care for the soul. With hearts of love and bravery that come only from above, people are jumping on planes with provisions, sending money, praying in Jesus’ name for protection against the evil one. We see John 17:23 coming into reality right before our eyes on TV screens and social media as people rush in to share in the battle.
“I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity
that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much
as you love me.” John 17:23 NLT.
TODAY:
- Call, text, message a friend or family member with a word of hope and peace.
- Limit your news time on all sources. It will replay again and again – you won’t miss a thing.
- Sing praise loudly! Yes, this is my go-to in the mornings and sometimes in the evenings. I sing songs with Alexa like, “There was Jesus” by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton (she is still so cute!) about the God Who is and Who was. I sing old hymns like “It is well with my soul.” I bring down the house (MY house) with the sounds of praise in song because He is worthy, and He fills my soul with peace in response to my heart songs.
In times like these the world seems totally out of control. But at the back of our anxious hearts is a root of bravery that cries out, “God is in control!” Let it out! This morning the words of Jesus are rehearsing in my head, and I give way to the power of them:
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth
you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have
overcome the world.” John 16:33 NLT
Take heart my sisters.
Stay close to each other and share your faith and courage.
It will multiply back to you.
