The Lord is with you! Luke 1:28
Intimacy was created by God as the foundation of a genuine relationship. He instilled the desire within us to know and be known and declared aloneness as “not good” at the very beginning. Genuine intimacy should be experienced in every dimension of our being— spirit, soul, and body—in a continual, uplifting way that leads to joy and confidence. Counterfeit intimacy brings about isolation and regret.
YAD (Hebrew)—to know deeply, personally, and to understand. The Lord is acquainted with our every thought, emotion, and even secret motivations. And the good news is that He loves us anyway! Unconditionally, without regard to past mistakes or present accomplishment.
O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Psalm 139:1-4
SAKAN (Hebrew)—living together, to make a home together. God speaks of dwelling with you, and His caring involvement is the hallmark of a genuine relationship.
A Message from the high and towering God, who lives in Eternity whose name is Holy: “I live in the high and holy places, but also with the low-spirited, the spirit-crushed, And what I do is put new spirit in them, get them up and on their feet again. (Isa 57:15 The Message)
“Father, flow your Spirit through me that I might be filled with satisfaction and peace; that I might not seek superficial recognition or approval. Break apart the bondage of unhealthy relationships that seek to sway me. Purify my heart for this will keep me on the good path of your ways.”
Today I thank you that you know me. Cleanse my heart of _______________________________ and replace this with surrender to Your will.
