#Woman of Influence & Bravery

You may have clicked on this blog to read of brave, influential women, but you should know I am talking about YOU!

Here is a thought I had today, and I would love to hear your considerations on this: In Genesis, we read that God spoke directly to Adam – “Do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…” Later, Eve was created and Adam relayed this instruction to her. I am wondering if Satan did in those days what he has continued to do throughout history – he goes “to and fro seeking who he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8). As he watched the beautiful relationship of Adam and Eve unfold he may have thought, “I have to break this up. They are too strong together.” Watching Eve and how her heart touched and influenced the heart of Adam, he may have planned, “If I deceive her, I can get them both,” and indeed he did.

Women are strong influencers – every day, every word, every situation. I am the first to admit that my influence is sometimes not good – my bad attitude or crazy reaction may lead others to do the same. But my heart, YOUR heart, longs to influence for good and to be brave enough to face the culture without fear.

This week our word is REALITY – Regardless of social media definitions, a Real Woman was created by God to be:
• Life-Giving
• Leading families to thrive
• Encouragers of others
• Benefiting community, churches, workplaces, neighborhoods with her presence.
• Genuine, without hesitation, on mission daily.

“But as for you, be strong and courageous,
for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chron 15:7

Let us embrace that we are in this together, regardless of social standing, cultural background, talents, or personalities. Women pass on their influence as they go.

PRAYER: “Lord, I come before you with bowed heart and soul to your Majesty. You are ever present in me and around me, and I thank you for your Faithfulness. I pray that as a woman it can be said of me as it was of Bezalel, “I have filled ( (your name). ) with the Spirit of God, giving great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts.” Exodus 31:3. May I use my words, talents, and love to yield to the Holy Spirit as I seek great wisdom. You alone Lord can give me confidence and assurance in a culture that offers none. You have been with me every day of my life, and I know that you will not leave me now. I bless your holy name.”
